Dinosaur Discovery Day: Reading

Event Description
Join the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge and the Jefferson County Public Library for Reading Day. The library will display some of their newest dinosaur books and present story time for the younger visitors. The Friends will have a used dinosaur and geology book sale.
At the Visitor Center: Activities such as gold panning, fossil sifting, dinosaur track painting, story time, puppet shows and a scavenger hunt are free for all ages! Sign up at the information table for door prizes such as a family four pass to the Morrison Museum, a family four pass to the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center, dinosaur books, dinosaur bookends, and other cool stuff.
On the Ridge: Guides will be stationed along the trail to explain the geology and fossils. Stop by the Lookout Mountain Nature Center booth manned by naturalists and volunteers Hiking the trail is free; our shuttle will be available for $3.00 per person, five and under ride free.
Dinosaur Ridge is located just west of the C-470 exit at Alameda Parkway.
