Kiwanis Club of Lakewood

What does “Kiwanis” mean?
The name “Kiwanis” comes from a native American Indian language and is shortened from the original “Nunc Kee-wanis” which means, “We share our talents” or “We have fun”. Both phrases are very appropriate to the organization and particularly the Lakewood Kiwanis Club!

What kinds of people belong to the Lakewood Club?
The Lakewood Kiwanis Club is very diverse. Our members range in age from the mid 20’s to the mid 80’s, include males and females, stay-at-home moms to retired folks, blue-collar workers to white-collar professionals. The mutual respect, interest, and fun among the members, is a fun and rewarding aspect of being a member.

We meet at 12:00 p.m. every Wednesday at The Egg & I, 7830 West Alameda Avenue in Lakewood, all guests are welcome!

“I joined the West Metro Chamber on the advice of another member.  Through participation in networking events, leads groups and becoming an Ambassador, I have built trusted relationships with other supportive West Metro Chamber members.  Within 9 months, I was no longer draining my savings and was breaking even.  When I look at my client base, nearly 90% of that has come from the West Metro Chamber.  Today my business continues to be a success and the West Metro Chamber is a vital part of that success.”
